The Artist Behind Beautifica

Celebrated as a versatile musical pioneer, Grammy-nominated artist James Hood is known for his groundbreaking work, and multi-sensory projects blending music and art.

His extensive musical résumé includes drumming for The Pretenders, more than two decades as the creative force behind the visionary ambient act Moodswings, and a wide array of production and soundtrack projects.

Before Beautifica, Hood transformed the world of immersive artistic experiences with Mesmerica 360, the record-breaking experience that continues to captivate audiences worldwide.

Venue Information

The Fiske Planetarium

Fiske Planetarium opened in 1975 and is located on the beautiful campus of the University of Colorado, in Boulder, Colorado. They offer a diverse range of fulldome films, star talks, live talks, laser fantasy and liquid sky music shows, concerts, and theatrical productions. Plus, the Fiske Planetarium hosts large public gatherings during celestial events, such as eclipses, conjunctions, etc. and NASA-related launches/landings!

The 65-foot diameter dome is the largest planetarium between Chicago and Los Angeles and seats 200 guests. Wheelchair spaces are available at most venues, select 'Wheelchair Ticket' when booking to secure a space, or get in touch with us.

We aim to get back within 24 hours, but usually are much quicker than that.

No strobing is used in the production, but there are some fast flickering light transitions, so caution is advised for those who suffer from seizures.

A very small number of people find immersive entertainment can create motion sickness.

No. Late entry is not permitted once the show has started.

This policy is for your safety and to protect the experience for all guests. The theater is dark, crowded, and filled with moving imagery, and entering after the show begins increases the risk of disorientation, falls, or injury.

Our shows are fully immersive, and late entries are disruptive for guests who are already seated and enjoying the experience.

Please allow extra time for traffic and parking, and plan to arrive during the scheduled check-in window.

Refer to your ticket for your check-in time as doors close promptly at showtime.

Our trusted ticketing partner ensures secure end-to-end payments are handled through a certified SSL channel. 
This means your payment details are private and secured throughout the process.

We will only ever contact you if you've opted to receive communications from us, and we don't share your details with anyone outside of our ticketing platform, so you can rest assured your security is our priority.

You can cancel your ticket purchase up to 30 days before the showtime at absolutely no cost, or add on a flexible element at checkout to give you greater freedom to switch dates or cancel.

We want everyone to be able to journey through these worlds with us.

Wheelchair users – and your guests – are very welcome!

Because we’re currently updating our booking system, wheelchair spaces can’t be reserved online just yet.

Subject to the limited wheelchair spaces at each venue, we’ll gladly book you a complimentary wheelchair space.

To request a wheelchair space, please email boxoffice@changeworlds.org with the following information:

  • Your full name
  • The city
  • Your preferred date and timeslot(s)
  • How many people are in your party

We’ll get back to you to confirm availability and complete your booking.

*Tip: Even if the calendar below shows a performance as “Sold Out”, we may still have wheelchair spaces available (even when General Admission tickets have gone).
