The Artist Behind Beautifica and Mesmerica.
James Hood is renowned as a vital and versatile musical pioneer - especially with his work on the PanART hang, a uniquely mesmeric melodic instrument, and for his collaborations with international animation artists.
His lengthy musical resumé includes playing drums in The Pretenders, an ongoing two-decades-plus run as mastermind of the visionary ambient/electronica act Moodswings, and an expansive array of production and soundtrack projects.

Sacred Heart University's Discovery Science Center & Planetarium
Discovery Science Center and Planetarium is a non-profit educational organization located in Bridgeport, Connecticut which seeks to connect audiences of all ages with Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) learning. The belief in the importance of providing hands-on STEAM learning experiences that resonate with children’s natural curiosity and love of learning is at the core of the Discovery mission. The team are active advocates for STEAM literacy in Connecticut and utilize their unique resources and expertise in informal STEAM learning to encourage and provide a pathway for learners of all ages to become STEAM-empowered and informed decision-makers in an increasingly technology-driven world.
The digital full-dome theater features a seamless 33-foot diameter dome and a dual-projector 4k laser projection system. Digistar 7 by Evans & Sutherland transforms the planetarium into a virtual starship, creating real-time visualizations that transport our audience to other planets, star systems, and beyond. The planetarium also screens pre-recorded shows on a variety of topics including spaceflight, aviation, biology, and history.
