Venue Information
Pequea Valley Intermediate School Planetarium
In 1967, just after NASA's Mercury and Gemini missions wrapped up, and the Apollo program was about to launch 3 astronauts into space to beat the Russians to the Moon, Pequea Valley High School Planetarium was the first built in a Lancaster County school. To this day, the planetarium allows learners to see a three-dimensional sky in a 3-dimensional controllable construct, to bypass learning in a classroom with 2-dimensional paper, whiteboards, and even laptops.

The Pequea Valley High School is a school of approximately 500 students in grades 9 - 12. The school is located in the heartland of eastern Lancaster County, surrounded by open fields and farmlands in Leacock Township.
