James Hood
The Immersive Pioneer
James Hood is the visionary creator behind the world’s most beloved immersive dome experiences: Mesmerica and Beautifica. Now, Astronomica, the final chapter of this incredible trilogy, is finally here.
Known for his groundbreaking multi-sensory projects that blend music and art, James Hood has an extensive musical résumé, which includes drumming for The Pretenders, acting as the creative force behind the visionary ambient act Moodswings, and a wide array of soundtrack projects.
With Astronomica, James invites us to embark on the final chapter of an audio-visual odyssey. While Mesmerica offered a reflection of calm and Beautifica celebrated life, Astronomica takes you on a cosmic journey designed to inspire hope, love, and awe.

The Digital Dome Theater at SUNY Corning Community College
SUNY Corning Community College’s Planetarium is now the Digital Dome Theater, offering the Southern Tier of New York and Northern Tier of Pennsylvania more than a valuable astronomical resource. The newly renovated Digital Dome is equipped to offer educational experiences for all disciplines.
The new digital technology seamlessly integrates data, models, videos, and graphics from across the educational spectrum to engage audiences in a new immersive educational experience. The Corning Community College Digital Dome provides audiences with inspiring and amazing multimedia voyages on a 360 degree dome that are accessible to audiences of all ages and interests.
The Digital Dome Theater offers educational and entertaining programs for the public, students, and area schools.
