James Hood is the visionary creator behind the world’s most beloved immersive dome experiences: Mesmerica and Beautifica. Now, Astronomica, the final chapter of this incredible trilogy, is finally here.
Known for his groundbreaking multi-sensory projects that blend music and art, James Hood has an extensive musical résumé, which includes drumming for The Pretenders, acting as the creative force behind the visionary ambient act Moodswings, and a wide array of soundtrack projects.
With Astronomica, James invites us to embark on the final chapter of an audio-visual odyssey. While Mesmerica offered a reflection of calm and Beautifica celebrated life, Astronomica takes you on a cosmic journey designed to inspire hope, love, and awe.

The Infinity Dome Theatre at TELUS Spark Science Centre
When the TELUS Spark Science Centre opened in its current location in 2011, it was the first purpose-built science centre in the country in 25 years, and it houses the largest dome theatre in all of western Canada! The science centre attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors a year and launches blockbuster shows. They changes lives and opens doors to the world of science, technology and innovation!
The Infinity Dome theatre stretches 3 stories high and over 21 metres across! Sit back and let the 360 degree visuals transport you to another place...
